Why choose the Chloe electrolyser

Don't just think about its small size, the Chloé electrolyser proves its power thanks to its features.

It works by electrolysing the salt which has been added to the pool water beforehand and provides effective, odourless disinfection without the need to add any chemical product, and it's gentle on skin.

The Poolex Chloe electrolyser operates from 3.2g/L of salt in the water and is available in 4 versions for pools from 35 to 115 m3. It is distinguished by its different operating modes - Automatic, Wintering or Chlorine shock -, its intuitive control panel, but above all by its self-cleaning Titanium cell by polarity inversion.

Maintenance with Poolex Chloe is child's play as it is equipped with different sensors. These sensors can be used to stop the electrolysis if the salt level or water flow is too low and, as such, protect the cell.

In addition, Poolex proposes an automatic cover detection module which automatically limits chlorine production when the pool is covered over.

Salt chlorinator operation principle

Electrolysis disinfection is a chemical process that transforms the salt in water into a disinfectant (hypochlorite ions).

This hypochlorite is reverts back into salt when it comes into contact with organic components (bacteria, cells) or under the effect of light, thus renewing the cycle to pass through the electrolyser again. You hardly ever need to add salt.

3 operating modes

Automatic / Winterizing / Shock Chlorine

Each season and use has its own method of salt electrolysis.

The Chloe electrolyser adapts to your needs. At the start of the season, when you have to restart the pool, opt for Chlorine Shock mode. The rest of the season, in Automatic mode, the Chloé measures itself. As soon as the temperatures cool down and you are winterizing your pool, simply select Winterizing mode on your salt electrolyser.

3.2G Low Salinity Operation

In other words, your pool is disinfected with a very low salt level of 3.2 grams per litre. The Sel In is an equipment that is economical.

The water in your pool remains clear without the odours and harmful effects of chemicals.

Salt Level and Insufficient Flow Alarms

The Crystalyse electrolyser is equipped with a flow detector (aka flow switch) and a salt level detection system. These two features combined enable you to safely and easily tailor chlorine production and ensure the cell's lifetime is optimized.

We answer your questions

A salt chlorinator for swimming pools is a device that converts the salt in the pool water into natural chlorine - sodium hypochlorite. It is used to disinfect water.

This method of water treatment is often called "salt chlorination" or "electrolysis chlorination".

The pool chlorinator uses an electrolysis cell containing platinum or titanium electrodes. As the pool water passes through the cell, the electrodes dissociate the salt into sodium chloride, which is natural chlorine. The water that flows back into the pool is disinfected.

There are several advantages to using a swimming pool chlorinator, including the continuous production of chlorine, without the need to regularly fill a chlorine tank. This natural chlorine is gentler on the skin and eyes.

In the long term, it's more environmentally friendly and economical.

For optimum pool treatment of your above-ground or in-ground pool, remember to check and balance the pH of the water.
