Why choose the platinium mini heat pump

A bold design in ABS and available in 3 powers to meet the needs of the majority of pools up to 65 m3.

In line with the Platinium, flagship of the Poolex brand, the Platinium Mini and its original design blends harmoniously into the architecture of your garden.

Available in 3 powers for swimming pools with a maximum the Platinium Mini is equipped with all the features for which Poolex heat pumps are renowned: Full Inverter technology, WiFi control and LED indicators.

With Full Inverter technology, the heat pump operates in a more stable manner to stay close to the set temperature at all times, avoiding peaks and reducing energy consumption considerably. The Platinium Mini is a silent pump that can be proudly displayed in its outdoor space. Its en vertical ventilation enables the evacuation of used air away from the surface where it stands, thus saving significant installation space.

The integrated LED indicators add a touch of elegance to the design, while also providing a useful function: instant display of the pump's operating status.

Easily control your Platinium Mini from your smartphone thanks to the WiFi connexion integrated to the heat pump control panel.

Full inverter technology for more energy savings

Popular in the domestic heating and air conditioning sectors, Full Inverter technology adjusts precisely the fan and the compressor, turning the heat pump into a smart pump.

The compressor starts up gradually. An automatic regulator boosts the heat pump's capacity for a rapid rise in temperature when the set temperature is far from the pool temperature. During the season, to maintain the set temperature, the heat pump operates at reduced power.

The Full Inverter heat pump therefore operates more stably. The compressor avoids sudden starts and stops. All this for energy savings of over 35% compared with an ON/OFF pool heat pump.

Bold ABS design

With its bold, light grey ABS casing, the Platinium Mini stands out and adds a touch of elegance around your pool.

Popular in the hardware and decoration industry, ABS has demonstrated good resistance to exterior elements without any compromises to its decorative attributes.

Integrated Wifi connection

Because a heat pump, regardless of its capacity, must be as easy to use, Poolex equips all its heat pumps with the WIFI functionnality. All information displayed on the control panel is also available on your smartphone.

Indicative LED technology

The LEDs integrated into the front of this pool heat pump give it a colourful look. But they also have a very useful technical feature: instant display of your pump's operating status.

Green :temperature set point has been reached.
Blue:your pool is being heated.
Red:the heat pump is out of service.

Advice

We answer your questions

  • A compressor
  • A heat exchanger to capture energy from the outside (evaporator)
  • A second heat exchanger to convert the energy back into heat on the inside (titanium heat exchanger)
  • An expansion valve

A heat pump exploits the heat present in the air (as calories) to amplify it and heat the water in your pool.

The water in your pool passes through a heat exchanger where it is heated then transported on to your filtration system.

Classical pool heating has a yield less than 1: for 1 kW consumed, less that 1 kW is converted into heat. With heat pumps, this yield is greater than 4. This is what is referred to as the COP (coefficient of performance).

For this, you need to know the volume in m3 of your pool, the desired period of used as well as the desired water temperature.

Next, you need to determine the geographical area in which your pool will be located.

  • Is your pool in-ground, semi in-ground or above-ground?
  • What is the level of sunshine throughout the day?
  • Have you installed an insulating cover?
  • What temperature do you want your pool water to be?
  • These factors determine the level of insulation in your pool.

  • The COP: the higher the COP, the more efficient your heat pump.
  • The compressor: defines the quality and resistance of the heat pump.
  • The enclosure box: three materials are available on the market: ABS provides a very good finish; stainless steel is more easily corroded; aluminium offers quality and resistance.
  • The sound level: as the heat pump is outside, it must not disturb persons around the pool. Remember that a normal conversation outputs sound of about 60 dB.

Additionnal criteria

Worth bearing in mind:

  • Automatic de-icing= time saving!
  • After several cycles, the evaporator becomes saturated with frost; the heat pump must wait for it to melt before restarting. Heat pumps with automatic de-icing invert the gas cycle to send hot gas into the evaporator, the frost melts in a few seconds and the pump can restart.
  • Exchanger = This is the critical moment where the water in your pool increases in temperature.
  • This heat exchanger must be as high-performance as possible and in particular be resistant to all types of rust. This is why all Poolex heat exchangers are made from titanium. Twisted tech technology provides an increase of about 25% in comparison with a conventional heat exchanger.
